Life is like an ever-shifting kaleidoscope - a slight change, and all patterns alter. Sharon Salzberg

We went to the Powerhouse in the holidays (Please don't move it NSW Government. No amount of money is worth killing off culture), and there was a cube and mirrors set up to make this kaleidoscope.

You turned the wheel and the cube spun, reflecting off the mirrors and dazzling the eyes.

It was an example of beauty in simple science.

At the height of laughter, the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities.- Jean Housten

Here's to new possibilities for us all.

  1. I'd love to photograph that. I'm obsessed with taking photos of water drops because they make everything hazy.

  2. No, I wouldn't want that to move either! What an amazing, if mind bending, place to visit! #mysundayphoto

  3. I love the colours and patterns created, it looks great

Have a good Sunday and thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto

  4. What a good place to go loved those colours

    Have a kaleidoscopictastic week :-)

  5. I love purple....these are beautiful!

  6. I haven't been to the Powerhouse for years as I don't live in Sydney now. This looks great and I love kaleidoscopes and Sharon's quote is so true. Where are they wanting to move the Powerhouse to?

    1. Parramatta. They want the land sale. They're pretending it's for another reasons. Shame on the NSW Libs.

  7. Even the kid kaleidoscopes were so fun and can only imagine how amazing and fun this one would be. :)

  8. The colours and patterns created are so cool!

    Happy Wednesday, Lydia!

  9. How cool is that! I could sit and watch a kaleidoscope for hours.

  10. Great shots, Lydia. I like playing with optical devices like that and taking fun photos.
Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best Meme".
