Cocktail Tuesday

On Tuesday we snuck out to catch up with friends we'd not seen for well over a year and to try out the cocktails of some London celebrity mixologist at Charlie Parkers.
The food was delicious and the company even better.

With ease of conversation, quickly we covered what we had been up to and updates on all the kids, and were soon covering the state of affairs in the world and arts, with laughs a plenty. With some people the frequency of contact is irrelevant.

Sometimes spending time with friends is all you need to love life.

What are you loving this week?

  1. Cheers to that. I'm loving blue skies and warm days.

  2. I love a catch up with friends, especially if we haven't seen them in ages and we have plenty that fall into that category. I'm loving the milder weather we're having to be honest. Most people crave summer but not me, I'm loving the relief from the heat! :-) #TeamLovinLife

  19. Nice to catch up with friends, in fact important to do so. I am meeting friends next week for coffee/tea to celebrate our mutual October birthdays. We try to meet monthly, but after over 50 years, it is getting farther and further between get togethers. Happy T Day.

  21. How wonderful to be able to share a few cocktails with friends. And of course, I had to laugh at your discussion of the state of the world. Where I live, right now we would either be discussing all night or throwing cocktails in each others' faces (grin). Thanks for sharing your drinks with us for T this Tuesday, dear Lydia.

  22. Getting together with friends and being able to just catch up is wonderful. I spent an afternoon with friends the other day, but we see each other every couple or three weeks. Good old friends are those you can meet up with less frequently and when it's like it hasn't been all that long since you last saw them. :) Hope it was a happy T day.

  23. We have a friend group that meets every 20 years or so. Sadly, I think we have had our final reunion.
